Women’s shampoo description: The accumulation of sebum, dirt, pollutants and hair product residues form a layer of embedded plague which clogs your scalp pores. When this happens, hair follicles are blocked and hair growth is inhibited. This plague, when not cleared soon enough, poses a problem to your hair’s health.
MYGEN 7 ENERGY CLARIFYING SHAMPOO FOR WOMEN is a harmonising shampoo that gently and removes this stubborn plague with the world’s first patented energy water. As soon as scalp pores are unclogged, blood circulation will be immediately enhanced.
Blocked follicles are cleansed and stimulated, and collagen production in the scalp is boosted.
This shampoo ensures a daily clarifying experience for women while preserving the natural moisture of each strand of hair. Panthenol and ceramide contained in this product will enrich growth and your hair will grow to have a silky, soft-to-touch texture. Hence, a follow-up conditioner may not even be necessary. An ideal choice of clarifying shampoo for women who are looking into salon quality products to use in the comfort of their own home.
MYGEN 7 ENERGY CLARIFYING SHAMPOO IS GOOD FOR DAILY USE."

If you've probably read about the MYGEN 7 products which I have tested in March 2018. You'd probably know that I did also carry this clarifying shampoo sample that is for women. I've been on the test to see if there is any visible differences between men's and women's shampoo and why there are differences on the shelves in the supermarket we buy it in. Does it make any difference?
If you wish to go read up on the other articles just type in MYGEN7 on the search bar. Alternatively here is the link to the men's shampoo, https://www.mschff.com/single-post/2018/03/30/MYGEN-7-Energy-Clarifying-Shampoo-for-Men
Observation
The difference I felt with the two products, right off the bat, I didn't feel that menthol and cooling sensation which I had felt when I had used the men's version of the clarifying shampoo. This difference can be spotted on the middle of the list of ingredients. The ingredients "Alcohol, Menthol" is clearly not included in the women's version. That cooling sensation was a welcomed sensation especially during the hot humid weather here in Singapore! However, after the wash with the Women's version my hair feels more nourished and moisturized. Similarly to the men's version this also didn't have any lingering or strong fragrance to it, it was a very clean experience overall.
This subtle difference in the Mentholated ingredient in the men's shampoo did manage to cause a slight difference in the effect of the shampoo, even though the list of ingredients are the same. The exemption of Alcohol and Menthol in the women's shampoo allowed the product to give a more nourishing hair washing experience.
Some of you are probably also wondering if this shampoo is good for you in terms of ingredient wise. I personally do not mind using SLS onto my hair but some of you are looking for an SLS free option, then this shampoo is not for you. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) are surfectants are are used mainly as foaming agents in shampoos. While both looks very intimidating, SLES is a much more milder chemical that does not irritate the skin. Hence why some people are avoiding SLS products due to their sentitivity to this irritant.
This shampoo also has a lot of protein in them; from just reading through the list, 4 protein ingredients were found,
1.Hydrolyzed Caesin
2.Hydrolyzed Corn Protein,
3.Hydrolyzed Wheat protein,
4.Hydrolyzed Soy Protein
Honestly to a layman like me, seeing as there are abundant types of protein in the shampoo and also the introduction of Panthanol, it is definitely a shampoo that is going to clarify my scalp as well as provide some strengthening to the hair shaft.
This shampoo does boasts thickening, hair fall control, strengthening and also unclogging pores on the scalp.
Summary
I would recommend this product if you wish to splurge on a clarifying shampoo that is a little more pricey than other shampoo's out there in the market. As for which option you would like to go for, it will depend on preference. I would love to add a shampoo with a scalp cooling effect during days where my scalp just feels a little more oily and heated than usual.
Juice Boxes (AVG: 3.25/5)
1. Moisturising: 3/5
If you are looking at additional hydration just like my frizzy hair will always need, pair it up with a conditioner to boost and lock the moisture into your hair for a softer silkier hair.
2. Affordability: 2/5
It's SGD 17.90 for a 250ml bottle over at Guardian pharmacies here in Singapore, so it's a little pricey for a daily shampoo.
3. Efficacy: 4/5
It works really well as a clarifying shampoo that also manages to ensure the hair does not feel like its stripped dry.
4. Endurance in Humidity: 4/5
So does this answer if shampoo's really need gender differentiation? I will leave that up to you to decide on your own.
P.s I might not be updating as often as every week for now as I do need to get inspired. If you do have some recommendations on what I could do to get inspiration from do let me know, would love to try it!
